Just because something is labeled as a wedding favor does not mean that you can’t use them for your Hanukkah party. Wedding favors can serve many purposes for your party. You can decorate with them, or you can hand them out to guests. These favors can be made by hand, or ordered online.
A common wedding favor that you can make yourself for a Hanukkah party is chocolate. People hand out molded chocolates at Jewish weddings. They are very simple to make and fit well with the Hanukkah theme. You only need a few simple things which include: candy molds, kosher blocks of milk chocolate, kosher blocks of white chocolate, pan of water, metal bowl, and a whisk. You can find Jewish themed candy molds at a local party store, or through an online merchant. Bring the pan of water to a boil. Break the chocolate up in the metal bowl. Make sure you use a separate bowl for milk chocolate, and white chocolate. Do not melt them in the same bowl. Place the bowl over the boiling water, and stir the chocolate with a whisk. Pour the chocolate in the molds. Freeze for about 30 minutes, or refrigerate for about an hour. Pop the chocolate out of the mold, and you have a quick and easy Hanukkah favor that would normally be found at weddings. You can also order favors through the internet.
Use the keyword search, “Jewish wedding favors” to find favors for Hanukkah. There is a variety of pre-made chocolate, Star of David bookmarks, Jewish designed glassware, and more. Do not hesitate to order these for your Hanukkah party. Most guests will never guess that they were purchased from the wedding section.
