Party favors are great to hand out to guests at a Hanukkah party. Party favors can be handed out at the start of the party, or at the end as a token of appreciation. There are normally two types of party favors. Favors that appeal to adults, and favors that appeal to children.
Allowing children to make their own Hanukkah party favors is an easy way to add activities to your party. Children can make their own paper menorahs, or paper dreidels. Children can also make their own Star of David ornament that they can hang in their house. They will need the following supplies: Scissors, glue, shiny blue paper, a piece of cardstock paper, white pipe cleaner, and some thread. Cut two circles, which are the same size, out of the cardstock paper and the shiny blue paper. Glue the circles together and punch a hole at the top. Shape the pipe cleaner into a circle and twist the ends so that it doesn’t come apart. Work with the pipe cleaner until it is shaped like a star. Pull the thread through the blue circle and the pipe cleaner star. Tie the thread in a knot at the top so that there is a loop to hang the ornament. Children will be able to take their ornaments home and enjoy them throughout the 8 days of Hanukkah.
Finding Hanukkah party favors for adults does not have to be complicated. Party favors can be simple and small. Some common party favors for adults include: A candle for their menorah, glassware with a Hanukkah symbol on it, or a premade Star of David ornament. You can find party favors for adults at your local party store, or through an online merchant.
Hanukkah party favors are just as fun to give out as they are to receive. As the host it is important to remember that the party favors need to be appropriate for the age of the guests that they are given to.
